Piazza Affari down with Ubi and Intesa – La Stampa

Weak European stock exchanges in today’s session, including the Milan market (Ftse Mib index -1.49% at 19.930 points and All Share -1.45% at 21.741) where banking stocks suffered particularly, penalized by confirmation by the of the European Central Bank, of the no to dividends in this phase of crisis; as regards Italian institutions in particular, they were also damaged by a slight increase in the spread between Italian ten-year BTPs and the corresponding German Bunds. More generally, before the closing time of Piazza Affari, there was also a return of mistrust on the general prospects of economic recovery, which was also reflected in a drop in the price of oil.

On the main list, two major credit stocks have fallen hit, such as Ubi Banca (-5.04%) and Intesa Sanpaolo (-4.62%), due to negative rumors about the corporate operation that should involve the two institutions; in the rest of the finance sector Azimut Holding fell (-4.28%) while it gained positions (Nexi + 2.53%).

Industrial sector contrasted: Fiat Chrysler Automobiles -4.39% while Cnh Industrial + 2.16% and Amplifon (+ 1.59%) and Diasorin (+ 1.19%) return to growth.
