The Board of News 3.0 has decided to suspend the publication of Letter43, an online newspaper founded and directed by Paolo Madron, after ten years, from 15 May.
Matteo Arpe, the financier who controls the publishing house, no longer believes the publishing company to be sustainable, due to the crisis situation in the sector caused by the Coronavirus epidemic.
At least for now, the 13 journalists of the site editorial staff remain available.
On the internet, the magazine could count, according to February data, on 77,000 unique users per day, placing it in 72nd place in the Audiweb ranking.
«Letter43 on Friday suspends publications. I left the direction. I thank the editor who gave me 10 years of absolute freedom. And the editorial staff that put a lot of effort into it. Stories begin, end, sometimes recover. You will see »wrote Paolo Madron, director of the online newspaper on his twitter profile.
